Under Water
One day
but not today
Still quiet
On delay
Time slogs through jelly
No other way
but to wait like fire under water
Don’t let hope fray
Burn the line straight through
to some day
by Christina Lynn Lambert
The little frog sitting on the windowsill inspired my latest poem. Mr. Frog looks a little burnt out at having to wait for whatever he’s waiting for. Sometimes it’s hell trying to wade through the setbacks and annoyances life dishes out. Sometimes the only thing we can do is nothing, other times, a marathon effort is required just to stay afloat and not get pulled under. Whatever the day brings, I hope everyone finds their way to where they want to be.
